Thy Art is Murder

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thy Art Is Murder is a 5-piece Australian deathcore band from Western Sydney, Australia. They released their debut EP This Hole Is Not Deep Enough For The Twelve Of You in 2005. They followed with another EP Infinite Death in 2008 and released their first full length album The Adversary in July through Skull and Bones Records.

I've listened to their full-length very extensively; they are a great band.

My favorite song of theirs:

AC2

Sorry about the double unrelated to metal posts, but this is all I've been doing for a while. Assassin's Creed II is sooo much more fun for me to play. I'm not sure if I like the story or setting better, but that gameplay is a huge improvement from the first.

What do you guys think about this game?

Assassin's Creed

I just finished Assassin's Creed for the first time on my PC (I know I'm late). I have to say it's probably the most fun I've ever had in a single-player game right next to GTA IV. Anyways, I'm gonna start playing the sequel and wait until spring when Brotherhood comes out for the PC. MAJOR cliffhanger at the end of the first.

Not so new DtG

Disfiguring the Goddess just released an old never before heard pre-production demo of songs they made in 2010 FOR FREEEE! It's not that great, but it was unreleased for a reason I suppose and it is above average in my opinion (PLUS ITS FREE).

Here is a track off of the demo I like:

Dropbox

I'm sure quite a bit of you have heard of Dropbox. It's basically a free online flash-drive. You can automatically sync your computer with a special folder that stays in sync with what you have online, either downloading or uploading to keep them the same. You could also just use it online if you don't want to download the program. Either way, I HIGHLY recommend this site.

Here is my referral link:
http://db.tt/UsQTDZ2

You're probably wondering why you should use a referral link in the first place. When you click a referral link, we both get an extra 250mb of storage space added on to your default 2gb. You can continue to do this all the way until 8gb!

I hope you found this helpful

Circle of Contempt

Circle of Contempt is a metal / progressive band from Finland. These guys are my favorite band. Circle of Contempt use to be called Thrust Moment, but changed their name as they were signed to Sumerian Records. They have released one EP and one full-length under their current name. I personally like their EP the best and it is my all-time most listened to album. I have a link to a download here. I don't really know if it was supposed to be released for free, but I will take it down if anyone has a problem with it.

Installing iTunes without the bloat

I found a nice little guide a while back explaining how to install only what you need with iTunes. Doing this saves you a bit of space on your hard drive, and keeps a bout 2 unneeded programs running in the background.

Hope you find it as helpful as I did

Not so metal related...

So maybe everyone doesn't like metal, but this is AT LEAST music related. I'm just recommending a music player today; some of you may have heard about it already.

foobar2000

Highly customizable, you can add lots of binds, automatically syncs with folders so you don't have to drop it in the program every time you get new music, low memory, and probably other stuff I don't know about.

It's free at http://www.foobar2000.org/.

Here is the site's list of features I either overlooked or took for granted:
  • Supported audio formats: MP3, MP4, AAC, CD Audio, WMA, Vorbis, FLAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, Musepack, Speex, AU, SND... and more with additionalcomponents.

  • Gapless playback.

  • Full unicode support.

  • Easily customizable user interface layout.

  • Advanced tagging capabilities.

  • Support for ripping Audio CDs as well as transcoding all supported audio formats using the Converter component.

  • Full ReplayGain support.

  • Customizable keyboard shortcuts.

  • Open component architecture allowing third-party developers to extend functionality of the player.

    Lowered Expectations

So yesterday I found out that I can hear the new Born of Osiris song early on the radio, so of course I listen to it and it's pretty good. Then I go and download it a couple hours later and am very confused. I guess the radio didn't pick up everything, but when I listen to it on my computer, it sounds VERY overproduced. Don't get me wrong, the song is great, but they did a little too much with overlaying the keyboards all over the place. Back last summer, a teaser of a couple pre-produced songs was put out. It sounded awesome without all of those keys.

    Oh well
    /rant

I'm still looking forward to this release, but each to his own.

I would post the new song, but Sumerian Records is all over YouTube's ass about putting that new song up, so I'll put up the old teaser from last summer:
